Liam Hussey

Born in San Francisco and raised in Ireland from the age of six, Liam returned to the Bay Area at eighteen. He carries a deep sense of heritage and frequently travels back to Ireland to visit family and stay connected to his roots.

Before founding California Wood Floors, Liam spent nearly two decades at the local landmark Marine World Africa USA, where he met his wife, Kim. Together, they managed the primate department for over 15 years, an experience that taught him patience, leadership, and the value of teamwork.

In 1992, Liam and Kim welcomed their daughter, Cloe, who still lives nearby and remains a central part of their close-knit family.

After a brief time working in Berlin, Liam returned to California and accepted what was meant to be a temporary position with a small flooring company called California Wood Shavings. When the owner decided to leave the area, Liam saw potential  - convincing his brother, Kevin, to join him in launching California Wood Floors.

What began as a small local shop with eight employees has grown into a thriving business of over 50, serving clients throughout the Bay Area and across the U.S. Liam takes great pride in the company’s journey and considers the success of California Wood Floors a shared achievement built through trust, integrity, and the dedication of its entire team.
